ABOUT ME

Wendy Lee

Hi, I'm Wendy — a software engineer with four years of experience. My journey has taken me from backend to frontend: building subscription features for a food delivery app while conducting e2e tests covering key user flows, modernizing an e-commerce platform's React Native app with TypeScript and CI/CD workflows, and now working at the intersection of React and AI tooling — building AI agents that speed up package migrations and automate repetitive engineering work. What ties it all together? I love stepping outside my comfort zone and building tools that help teams move faster.

JOB EXPERIENCE

Frontend Engineer @ Pinkoi

JUL 2025 — PRESENTAI Agent / React / TypeScript / Zustand / Webpack
  • Initiated React Router v6 adoption by extending the existing adaptive API to migrate v3 and v5 syntax to v5-compat, then developed an autonomous migrator agent with properly scoped boundaries that cut migration time by 50%.
  • Built an agent skill to automate analytic tracking event implementation and verification, saving 5 minutes per user flow test case while improving code accuracy and maintainability.
  • Built a ticket release landing page powered by a refactored textpool CMS, migrating from a legacy HOC pattern to a React Context-based architecture with TypeScript, enabling independent business team copy edits.
  • Designed and implemented a reusable Add-to-Cart CTA component for the homepage revamp within a one-week sprint, eliminating UI coupling and jQuery state management.

PRODUCT FEATURE

E-Commerce React Native App Revamp

Refactored the e-commerce mobile app by migrating from JavaScript to TypeScript and upgrading React Native from v0.64 to v0.74, resolving Google Play’s Android API deprecation blocker. Modernized state management with Redux Toolkit, async thunks, and listener middleware for the add-to-cart flow; replaced Shopify’s REST API with GraphQL and cursor-based pagination to enable incremental loading of cart items.

PRODUCT FEATURE

Add Pro to Cart

The Add Pro to Cart (APTC) initiative lets customers add a Pro subscription item directly to their cart, view applicable benefits, and check out food and subscription together through a single unified payment, all backed by cart-level eligibility validation and a subscription creation flow tied to order processing. At a high level, the project utilizes order-related SNS topics to transit subscription status, extending the existing state transition to support subscription activation based on order delivery status. It also reworks the delivery fee benefit counter to support an order-first activation flow. This drove a 23% increase in subscription conversion rate in Malaysia and the Philippines.
